Dr. Woodrow, DVM
Dr. Woodrow, who grew up in the Twin Cities area, is a seasoned professional in the field of veterinary medicine. She earned her veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota in 2005 and has been a valuable member of the River Hills team since 2008.
Dr. Woodrow became interested in veterinary medicine after visiting a vet clinic with her Girl Scout troop when she was eight years old. As she grew older, she became interested in how the various body systems worked. Combined with her love of animals, it seemed like the perfect fit!
Dr. Woodrow's love for her profession is evident in her dedication to helping pets. She finds great satisfaction in managing allergies, arthritis, or removing masses, as well as in assisting pets to end their lives peacefully. Over the last nineteen years, she has developed a particular passion for dermatology and dentistry, finding joy in helping pets find relief for itchy skin and healing a diseased mouth.
Dr. Woodrow has been married for 19 years to her husband, Nathan, a veterinarian. He specializes in dairy and small and exotic ruminant care. They share their home with two children and a fourteen-year-old bloodhound/golden retriever mix. Dr. Woodrow has had many dogs over the years. It brings her joy to watch her dogs grow up with her children and the close bond they have developed.
Dr. Woodrow enjoys practicing martial arts like Krav Maga and Jiu Jitsu. She has been an avid participant in her local dojo for seven years. She also enjoys traveling, walking, hiking, and reading.
